Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Toast

Print Recipe

Is this really even a recipe? Who knows? Who cares? It's flippin' ridiculous good. We all grew up with toast and likely toast with some peanut butter on it and maybe even toast with some peanut butter and bananas or strawberries or something like that. But this. This right here is wild friends. We dumped a heap of chocolate chips on top of some peanut butter covered toast because we are nuts.

What makes this so good though? It all starts with the peanut butter. That's why you must use HomePlate. Sure, the big guys can taste good, but they are loaded with junk. And sure, there are those extra natural companies that love to tell us how they only have a single ingredient, but let's not kid ourselves, they just aren't really that good. So then comes HomePlate. Simple ingredients, but just enough sugar to make it delicious and just enough palm fruit oil to make it spread easily with no need to stir it up.

But what reallllly makes it good? Probably all of those chocolate chips.

Why is peanut butter and jelly so popular, but peanut butter and chocolate chips is nowhere to be seen? There are actually less calories and sugar in a tablespoon of chocolate chips than in most jams or jellies. So is this the healthier sandwich? Should we be sending our kids to school with peanut butter and chocolate chip sandwiches. The answer is, "probably."

So, if you couldn't figure it out, here is how you make it:

Ingredients:

  • HomePlate Peanut Butter - your choice of flavor
  • A handful of chocolate chips
  • A slice of bread

Recipe:

  • Put the bread in the toaster.
  • Spread some peanut butter on it.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips liberally.
  • Take a photo for the gram and tag @homeplatepb
  • Take a bite.
  • Mark this day in your calendar as the day all things changed forever.
  • Take another bite.

Be sure to use HomePlate Peanut Butter for your sandwich as it is gluten free, protein rich, low in sugar (keto friendly!) and contains no hydrogenated oil or high fructose corn syrup! Also it's really, really good.
